Present card to redeem 40 any size iced coffee, soft drinks, sweet or unsweetened tea, or frozen carbonated beverages. NOT McCafe (espresso-based drinks), shakes, orange juice, or blended iced drinks. McDonald’s locations that will accept them: 2 in Franklin, 3 in Columbus, Whiteland, Edinburgh, Trafalgar, Brownstown, Rushville, & St. Paul.

ASPIRE - A NIGHT JUST FOR WOMEN!
Pastor Jenothy is excited to announce that we will be having a group go to the Aspire - A Night Just for Women on Friday, November 8 from 7p-10p (Doors open at 6p) at Bluff Creek Christian Church in Greenwood. We have opened up photography sessions on Saturday, Sept. 28 here at Grace for those who have not yet registered to have their pictures taken for the Directory. We also still have a few openings on Wednesday, Sept 25 at Otterbein.
Photos will be taken at OFSLC on Tuesday, Sept. 24 & Wednesday, Sept 25 from 9a-3:30p for the residents at Otterbein in the Community Center North Hall. Photography sessions at the church will be on Thursday, Sept 26 & Friday, Sept 27 from 2:00-8:30p, & Saturday, Sept 28 from 10:00a-2:00p in Price Hall.

Study Buddies meet weekly with their buddy on Thursdays - elementary buddies from 2:30p-3:30p and intermediate buddies from 3p-4p-and help with homework such as spelling words, reading comprehension, math, etc. If you would like to be a Study Buddy or would like more info, contact Melissa Parramore at [email protected].

Once we have a handful of people signed up, we will connect with everyone signed up to find a time that works best for them.

2024 HABITAT FOR HUMANITY BUILD
Habitat for Humanity is planning the fall 2024 build and are so excited for their 25th house build! This is a huge milestone for them and they can’t wait to get started!
Grace United Methodist Church has been instrumental in the building success over the past years. We hope to continue to be a build partner on this build too.
The build is planned to begin on September 11th and will be in Edinburgh. Grace UMC will have a "build day" and that date will be announced soon!

The Harvest Walk will be on Sunday, October 6 at 3:30p this year. The Harvest Walk is an annual fundraising event held by the Interchurch Food Pantry of Johnson county to help eliminate hunger in our local community. This year, when the walk is over, the fun will continue! Bring a chair and stay to be entertained by the 60's & 70's music of the Retro Brothers, play lawn games, and enjoy refreshments. Again this year, there is a 3-mile paved path walk and a 1-mile wheelchair-friendly paved path walk. The cost for an individual is $25 and a family is $40. Below is the schedule for this years event:

SENIOR MINISTRIES DINNER THEATER TRIP

The Senior Ministries team (Leaves of Grace) at Grace Church is planning a trip to the Beef and Boards Dinner Theatre on Wednesday, October 30th, to see “Fiddler on the Roof” -- Set in the little village of Anatevka, the story centers on Tevye, a poor milkman, and five daughters. With the help of a colorful and tight-knit Jewish community, Tevye tries to protect his daughters and encourage traditional values in a changing world. Winner of nine Tony Awards, Fiddler on the Roof is filled with humor, warmth, honesty and tradition!
The cost of the trip is $58.00, payable upon signing up. Make check out to Grace UMC/Memo-Beef and Boards. You may sign up at the in the Lobby during the week-ends of September 7/8, September 14/15, or September 21/22 We will be carpooling and will need volunteers to drive. Please indicate when you sign up if you can drive and how many passengers you can take. Drivers will be given a check request form to complete to receive $25 to help cover the cost of gas.
You will be contacted by your driver as to time and location to meet for your trip to the theatre. Lunch will be served at 11:45 a.m., followed by the play at 1:00 p.m. Arrival time back to Grace at approximately 5:00 p.m. Questions, speak with Joyce Coleman at (317) 285-8614 or Bev Bonsett at (317) 738-3875.

Our projects will include food distribution, organizing and stocking warehouse supplies, assisting in the local second hand shop run by the community church co-op, and construction work on a newly renovated building to be used as a women's recovery home. If you feel led to make a financial contribution please speak with Pastor Jenothy Irvine, or mark your envelope and/or check with "2024 Mission Trip." Thank you for your interest and support. P.S. FAITH PROMISE COMMITTEE CAMPAIGN
Join in the “Raise the Roof” campaign to provide a roof for the Chapel at the Nursing School in Joseph Mulongo’s village. Our goal is $8,000 total for the roof. The Faith Promise Committee will provide a match of up to $4,000. Any funds above this project will be used towards another priority need. The total cost needed by the Nursing School is over $100,000 to expand and renovate their current school! Other churches and individuals are collecting for various sections needed as well. Help us provide a roof for the much needed updates to the Nursing School!
