NEW RESOURCE FOR GRACE UMC
Making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world is what your church exists to do. But creating disciples takes resources - it takes education, training materials, & content that provokes practice. It's a life-long, every moment, everyday kind of thing. It happens anytime & anywhere...in person and online. And that's why it's good to have resources and discipleship tools readily available wherever you are. With Amplify Media, we will have that! In fact, you have access to thousands of formational videos, training resources, & discussion starters to use along every step of the discipleship journey: anytime, anywhere, & on all your favorite devices. Simply visit this link amplifymedia.com/resource-center/getting-started-2/#fvp_4,8s to learn how to set up your account today! The Access code for Grace is DFWCPX.
Pastor Joe will have a laptop set up this weekend in the Lobby to show exactly what Amplify Media is and how to use it. You will also be able to set up your account while you are here! If you have any questions, please call the office at 317-736-7962.

SAVE THE DATE - LIFELINE SCREENING
Monday, Oct 2, 8:00a-5:30p, Price Hall
Life Line Screening, the nation’s leading provider of preventive health screenings, will offer affordable, non-invasive and painless health screenings at Grace United Methodist Church on Monday, October 2, 2023. A package of four screenings to identify risk for stroke, heart disease and other chronic conditions will be offered:
Carotid Artery Screening (Plaque)
An ultrasound is performed to screen the carotid arteries (a pair of blood vessels in the neck that deliver blood to your brain) for buildup of fatty plaque. This buildup, called atherosclerosis, is one of the leading causes of stroke.
Peripheral Arterial Disease Screening
An Ankle-Brachial Index (ABI) test is performed using blood pressure cuffs on the arms and legs. It is important to screen for PAD because it increases the risk of coronary artery disease, heart attack, or stroke.1
Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA)
An ultrasound is performed to screen the abdominal aorta for the presence of an enlargement or aneurysm. AAA can lead to a ruptured aortic artery, which is a serious medical emergency.
Atrial Fibrillation
A 6-lead electrocardiogram (EKG) is performed by placing sensors on the arms and legs to screen for Atrial Fibrillation. AFib can lead to blood clots, stroke, and heart failure, and other heart-related complications.2
These 4 vital screenings take 60-90 minutes to complete. Register by calling toll free 1-844-591-7160, text the word "circle" to 216-279-1607 or online at https://llsa.social/HSC

LEAVES OF GRACE DINNER THEATRE TRIP
Wednesday, Oct 18, 10:30a, East Parking Lot
The Leaves of Grace Team at Grace Church is planning a trip to the Beef and Boards Dinner Theatre on Wednesday, October 18th, to see "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat"--The biggest cast for any of the theater's productions will perform the Bible-based story of Joseph, the favored son whose brothers sell him into slavery. Drivers will be given a check request form to complete to receive $25 to help cover the cost of gas.
