The mission of Grace Church is to worship God, proclaim Christ as Savior, encourage growth in Christ as Lord; fellowship together, and care for those in need.
Grace United Methodist Church supports a wide-variety of mission projects throughout the State of Indiana. Here is a run-down and brief description of some of the many projects the congregation helps.
Urban Ministries
Barnes United Methodist Church Inner City Ministry – congregation that helps children and youth in and around Barnes UMC in Indy
Brightwood United Methodist Community Center – community center that supports children in the community near and around Brightwood in urban Indy with educational and nutritional programs
Fletcher Place Community Center – community center that works with folks in urban Indianapolis with a wide-variety of social needs
East 10th UMC Children & Youth Center – ministry that helps children in neighborhoods around the East 10th UMC
Viva Nueva UM Ministry – ministry that reaches out to and works with Hispanic Populations in Indianapolis
Pourhouse Ministry – ministry to the homeless on the streets of Indianapolis; Grace Church will donate food and sandwiches.
Roberts Park UMC Soup Kitchen – Soup Kitchen Ministry to persons and families on the streets of downtown Indianapolis. Groups from Grace Church serve at this kitchen on a regular basis.
State Ministries
Indiana United Methodist Children’s Home in Lebanon, Indiana – a home dedicated to helping children and youth through education and spiritual care in Indiana. Go to www.childrenshome.net.
